Yamaha FX HO: Teach the Idle After Cleaning or Battery Change

After a battery change or a cleaned throttle body the FX HO sometimes runs unsteadily because the control unit has to relearn its values. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC starts the learning.

How to proceed

• Read the fault memory and fix active faults
• Secure the craft, engine only with a water supply
• Teach idle and throttle valve in the app
• Afterwards watch the idle live values

Limits of learning

Learning calms an idle that only hunts because of missing learned values. If there is a faulty sensor, false air or a cylinder with misfires, the problem remains. So read the memory beforehand and test the four ignition coils and injectors if the idle keeps hunting.
