Yamaha FZR and FZS Fault Codes: List and Meaning
FZR and FZS use the 1.8-litre control unit with all the important sensors for a supercharged engine. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC reads the fault list and explains the entries.
The most important codes
- 13 pulser coil, 15 engine temperature, 17 knock sensor, 19 battery voltage
- 23 intake air temperature, 24 camshaft, 29 intake pressure
- 47 slant switch, 55 steering sensor, 65 exhaust manifold water temperature
- 124 to 128 TPS, 131 to 135 APS, 112 to 145 throttle valve drive
Note on numbering
The numbers apply to the control units of the 1.8-litre generation. The app shows the description for each entry so you are on the safe side even with deviations. On supercharged engines, intake pressure (29), intake air temperature (23), knock sensor (17) and the temperatures are the values you watch first.
Note on numbering: the codes come from the control units' diagnostic database, as the diagnostic tool reads them. Forums and manuals partly circulate different assignments, especially for older models and for codes shown on the display. When in doubt, the description in the app counts.
