Reading Yamaha WaveRunner Fault Codes
The engine runs rough, a warning lights up, and you do not know why? With M-JET DIAGNOSTIC you read the fault memory of your Yamaha WaveRunner yourself. You get the fault in plain text, plus a hint on what to check next.
How it works
- Plug the dongle into the diagnostic connector
- Connect to the app via Bluetooth, your model is recognized
- Read the fault memory
- Read the description, possible cause and check steps
More than just a number
A code alone does not tell you which part is faulty. The app therefore names the affected sensor or actuator and the symptom, for example “out of specification” or “irregular signal”. You also get concrete check steps such as inspecting connectors and wiring or measuring resistance and voltage. That way you do not replace parts on a hunch. How many fault codes a control unit knows depends on the model; for the FX, VX and GP series it ranges from a handful to around 50, depending on model year.
