Yamaha FZR and FZS: Season Start Check via App
After winter nobody wants surprises with a supercharged engine. A short check with M-JET DIAGNOSTIC gives you confidence before the first ride.
The checklist
- Read the fault memory, also stored entries from last season
- Battery voltage at standstill and when starting
- Temperature values at idle: engine, intake air, exhaust manifold
- Briefly activate four ignition coils and injectors
- Reset the maintenance warning after the oil change
Why it is worth it
After standing idle, battery, connectors and fuel are the most frequent weak spots and can be spotted at the jetty. Compare the idle values with those of last season if you noted them. Salt and moisture attack connectors; a look for corrosion belongs in it. For work on the fuel system: good ventilation, no ignition sources.
