What you check
- Total hours and distribution across the RPM ranges
- Fault memory with stored entries
- SCU and RPS codes
- Model, serial number and software version
Assessment
On a young vehicle, hours should be low and the memory clean. Entries on temperature, throttle valve or SCU are a reason to ask. Test ride and visual inspection remain necessary.
