Used Yamaha SuperJet: Freestyle or Racing? Check the Hours
A used SuperJet often has a hard life behind it. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC shows you how many hours the control unit counted in which RPM range.
What you check
- Total hours and distribution across the RPM ranges
- Fault memory for slant switch, temperature and throttle valve codes
- Live values at idle
- Briefly activate coils, injectors and pump
Recognizing a hard life
A high share in the upper RPM range fits racing and freestyle. Many stored entries on the slant switch point to frequent falls. Neither is an exclusion criterion, but a reason to check pump, bearings and connectors more closely. An empty memory proves nothing, so test ride and visual inspection belong too.
