Yamaha SuperJet: Season Start Check with Battery and Service Reset
After the winter break the SuperJet should simply run. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC shows you beforehand whether everything is fine and resets the warning after the service, as far as your model offers it.
The checklist
- Read the fault memory and note old entries
- Battery voltage at standstill and when starting
- Briefly activate coils and injectors 1 to 3
- Reset the maintenance warning after the oil change
Small battery, big effect
Batteries in stand-ups are small and need care. If voltage collapses heavily on starting, charge or replace it before searching for faults in the control unit. Check connectors for corrosion, especially if the craft was ridden in saltwater. Flush the engine after every saltwater ride.
