Yamaha SuperJet: Throttle Response and Idle with Electronic Throttle Valve
The 4-stroke SuperJet has an electronic throttle valve that the lever controls via sensors. If throttle response hangs or jerks, M-JET DIAGNOSTIC shows the live values.
What you check
- APS1 and APS2: do both run smoothly with the throttle lever?
- TPS1 and TPS2: does the valve follow the setpoint?
- Throttle lever closed-position switch (code 51)
- After cleaning: teach idle and throttle valve
Watch for jumps
On a stand-up especially, lever and wires are exposed to impacts and water. A signal that jumps when giving gas smoothly speaks for a contact fault at the sensor or connector. If all signals run cleanly, you check ignition and injectors. The throttle valve is safety-relevant, so unclear findings should be checked by a specialist workshop. Also note the SuperJet's learner mode (L-mode): it limits power and feels like a power loss.
