Yamaha VX Won't Start: Check Relays, Pump and Ignition

Check chain

• Battery voltage during the start attempt
• Main relay, ETV relay, fuel pump relay in the switch status
• Kill switch and start switch in the switch status
• Activate pump, coils 1–3 and injectors 1–3

What the responses say

If the relay signal is missing, the cause is before the component: fuse, wire or switch. If the pump runs, the injectors respond but nothing ignites, look at camshaft (24) and pulser coil (13) in the fault memory. With this approach you do not have to buy a part on a hunch. On the fuel system: good ventilation, no ignition sources. The kill switch on the handlebar can corrode and stop the craft or prevent starting: its state is in the live data.
