A Sea-Doo GTI 130 to 170 tune with no unlock and no mail-in: with the M-JET FLASHER, your GTI 130 or GTI SE 130 gets 170 hp by app. Plug in, flash, unplug, done. The all-rounder stays an all-rounder, just with a lot more in reserve.
GTI 130 tune, no unlock: the short version
- GTI 130 and GTI SE 130, model years 2020 to 2027
- 170 hp by software, no parts swapped
- no ECU unlock, the ECU stays in the boat
- back to stock any time, reflash as often as you like
GTI 130 to 170: same platform, different software
Anyone looking at GTI 130 specs quickly gets to the core: Rotax 1630 ACE, three cylinders, naturally aspirated. The GTI 170 and GTX 170 use the same engine. What separates the 130 from the 170 is defined by the software in the ECU. The FLASHER writes the setup to your 130 that lets it run at the 170 power level. You do not touch the engine, the pump or the hull. Of all the GTI 130 performance upgrades and mods out there, this is the one that changes the most for the least effort.
The exact model years are listed on the GTI 130 model page. The same goes for the GTI SE 130, which sits in the same group.
What 170 hp means for family riding
Solo, a stock GTI 130 rides just fine. It gets interesting when the ski is full. Two adults, a kid, a cooler, maybe a tube on the back: that is when you feel the 130 working hard out of the hole. With the 170 setup it pulls noticeably cleaner under load.
The extra reserve helps when you pull a tube or a skier, too. The ski does not have to run pinned to hold speed. That feels more relaxed, for you on the bars and for whoever is sitting behind you. You also get more top end and stronger acceleration. We still give no GTI 130 top speed figures, because we do not publish numbers we cannot back up.
Just as important is what does not change. The software does not turn the GTI into a race ski. It stays the easygoing family Sea-Doo, now with enough breathing room in every situation.
No unlock, no mail-in
Many newer Sea-Doo models from 2024 on use the Bosch MG1CA920 ECU. It needs a one-time unlock before the first flash: ship the ECU to Germany or Florida, or buy a replacement ECU that arrives already unlocked. On the GTI 130, that step simply does not exist. The jump to 170 hp is not a mail-in job either. You pull nothing, you plug in the dongle and go, including the current model year.
How the flash works on a GTI 130
- Plug the dongle into the diagnostic port.
- Open the app on iOS or Android and connect via Bluetooth.
- Choose the setup and flash. It takes a few minutes.
- Unplug the dongle. Nothing stays installed on the ski.
No laptop, no shop appointment. Before you start, check battery voltage and the fault memory. The full process with a checklist is in Sea-Doo 130 to 170 hp in minutes.
Lite or Pro for a family ski
Both versions use the same dongle and the same maps, and you get the 170 hp with either one. Lite is tuning by app. Pro adds diagnostics: live data and data logger, read and clear the fault memory, service reset. If you do your own maintenance, Pro lets you handle small jobs like the service reset after an oil change yourself.
Two skis in the family? You do not need a second dongle. The second vehicle runs on an additional license.
Back to stock any time
The flash is reversible. Restore the stock software from the app whenever you want, and reflash as often as you like. Want the ski in factory condition before you sell it? That takes a few minutes.

FAQ
Does this work on the GTI SE 130 too?
Yes. The GTI 130 and GTI SE 130 from model years 2020 to 2027 get 170 hp with the FLASHER, no unlock.
Does the dongle stay on the ski?
No. You unplug it after the flash. The software lives in the ECU, nothing stays installed.
What should I check before flashing?
Battery voltage and the fault memory. The Pro version or M-JET DIAGNOSTIC shows you both right away.
