Yamaha 1.9 Litre FX, GP, VX Won't Start or Stalls
Even a new craft can fail to start once. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC runs through the chain from battery to cylinder before you order parts.
Check chain
- Battery voltage during the start attempt
- Relays and kill switch in the switch status
- Fault memory for camshaft, pulser coil, throttle valve
- Activate pump, four ignition coils and four injectors
Typical findings
A low voltage at start or a component that does not respond in the test narrows the search at once. If the engine dies again right away, a signal the control unit needs is often missing, for example from the camshaft or throttle valve. In any case check connectors and ground first. On the fuel system: good ventilation, no ignition sources.
