Yamaha EX Diagnostics (EX, Sport, Deluxe, Limited)

The EX series is Yamaha's simple entry class with a 1.05-litre TR-1 engine. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC reads EX, EX Sport, EX Deluxe and EX Limited from model year 2017 and helps you narrow down problems without a workshop.

What you can check on the EX

• Read and clear the fault memory
• Live data such as engine speed, temperatures, intake pressure and battery voltage
• Test ignition coils and injectors 1 to 3 as well as the fuel pump
• Reset the oil change and maintenance warning

Simply built, simply checked

The EX has less equipment than a Cruiser, so the control unit is manageable too. That makes troubleshooting easier: if the memory reports a sensor, you first check connector and wire and then judge the live value. If it shows a plausible value, the fault is rarely the sensor. The app only shows functions that your model supports.
