Yamaha EX Beeps While Riding: Oil Pressure, Temperature or Battery?
The EX beeps now and then without it being clear why. Several triggers are possible. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC shows you which one it is.
What you check
- Oil pressure switch in the switch status
- Engine and exhaust manifold temperature over time
- Battery voltage while riding
- Fault memory for active and stored entries
One tone for several warnings
On some Yamaha models overtemperature and low oil pressure share the same tone. The app's switch status separates them: if the oil pressure switch reports a shortage, you check the oil level at once and shut off. If everything stays normal and voltage sags briefly, battery or contact is suspect. Do not simply ride on with a persistent warning tone.
