Yamaha FX1100 with Catalytic Converter (2007/2008): Exhaust Manifold Temperature
The FX1100 of 2007 and 2008 came in a version with a catalytic converter. Its control unit additionally monitors the exhaust manifold. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC reads these messages and shows you the live values.
Additional messages of this version
- Code 83: exhaust manifold temperature sensor out of specification
- Code 101: exhaust manifold water temperature with an irregular signal
- Code 99: irregular intake air
- Live values for engine and exhaust manifold temperature
Heat or sensor?
If the water temperature at the exhaust manifold rises sharply under load, cooling water is missing: check inlet, pump and hoses. If the value jumps or is impossible, the wire or sensor is the better lead. First check connectors and cables before you replace a part. Work on the exhaust system and catalytic converter is for a specialist workshop.
