Yamaha WaveRunner Lambda Sensor and Catalyst Faults
Most WaveRunners have no lambda sensor, but some versions with a catalytic converter do. On these vehicles M-JET DIAGNOSTIC shows the sensor values and reads faults for sensor, fuel system and catalyst.
What the control unit can report
- O₂ sensor 1 and 2 with an irregular signal
- Fuel system malfunction
- Catalyst system malfunction
- Live data of the sensor voltage
Not on every model
Only selected versions are equipped with a catalytic converter and sensors, for example individual FX models from 2007 and 2008. The app only shows the values if your vehicle provides them. A sensor fault can come from a wire, connector, exhaust leak or a real mixture problem. So also read the other messages, for example on intake air and injection. A specialist workshop helps with work on the exhaust system.
