Yamaha FX HO and Cruiser HO (2008–2014) Fault Codes: List
The FX with the 1.8-litre engine from 2008 to 2014 has an extensive control unit. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC reads the fault list and translates every entry.
The most important codes
- 13 pulser coil, 15 engine temperature, 17 knock sensor, 19 battery voltage
- 23 intake air temperature, 24 camshaft, 29 intake pressure, 47 slant switch
- 51 accelerator closed-position switch (from model year 2012)
- 55 steering sensor, 65 exhaust manifold water temperature
- 68 no-wake switch, 78 reverse switch
- 112 to 145 throttle valve drive, 124 to 128 TPS, 131 to 135 APS
Tip for classifying
The app shows symptom and check steps for each active entry. On a tourer like the FX, switches and sensors around the handlebar are among the more frequent messages because they are exposed to water and salt. So for switch codes first check connectors and wires.
Note on numbering: the codes come from the control units' diagnostic database, as the diagnostic tool reads them. Forums and manuals partly circulate different assignments, especially for older models and for codes shown on the display. When in doubt, the description in the app counts.
