Yamaha FX HO: Accelerator Sensor and Throttle Valve Report Faults
On the FX HO the throttle lever electronically reaches through to the throttle valve. APS, TPS and the ETV motor work together. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC shows you which link stands out.
What you check
- APS codes 131 to 135 and the closed-position switch (code 51 from 2012)
- TPS codes 124 to 128
- Live values APS1/APS2 and TPS1/TPS2 compared
- After cleaning or replacement: teach the throttle valve
Signals in pairs
Both sensors deliver two signals each. The control unit compares them and detects deviations. The live value shows you which pair does not match. If a value does not run smoothly when giving gas, that speaks for a contact fault at the sensor or connector. Because the throttle valve is safety-relevant, leave unclear cases to a specialist workshop.
