Yamaha FX HO: Reverse Switch (78) and No-Wake Switch (68)
On the FX HO, reverse and no-wake mode are captured electronically. If they do not respond as usual, a look at the switch status helps. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC shows it live.
Check points
- Code 78: reverse switch
- Code 68: no-wake mode switch
- Switch status when operating it on the handlebar
- Connectors for corrosion and moisture
Procedure
Operate switches and levers one after another and watch in the app whether the value changes cleanly. If the change fits, the electronics are fine and you look at the mechanics. If a display sticks, check connector and switch. That saves time because you do not have to replace every component one by one to rule it out.
