Used Yamaha GP1300R: Check Engine Hours and Condition

The GP1300R is in demand as a used sport craft, and its condition is hard to judge. With M-JET DIAGNOSTIC you check the control unit at the viewing.

The check

  • Total hours and distribution across four RPM ranges up to 8000 rpm
  • Read the fault memory completely
  • Activate stepper motor and YPVS in the component test
  • Look at engine and exhaust manifold temperature at standstill

Classifying the values

The GP1300R shows operating hours in four ranges. Many hours in the top range point to hard use. If stepper motor and YPVS work in the test and the memory is clean, that speaks for a well-kept craft but does not replace a test ride. At this age also check battery, impeller and connectors.
