Yamaha VX110 and VX1100 Fault Codes: List
The VX1100 with its electronic throttle valve has a much larger control unit than the early Yamahas. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC reads around 40 possible messages and translates them.
The most important codes
- 13 pulser coil, 15 engine temperature, 19 battery voltage
- 23 intake air temperature, 24 camshaft, 29 intake pressure
- 47 slant switch, 55 steering sensor
- 124 to 128 throttle position sensor (TPS)
- 131 to 135 accelerator position sensor (APS)
- 112 to 145: throttle valve drive (ETV) in several variants
How to read the list
The ETV codes are numerous because the control unit distinguishes many fault types, such as motor, position or feedback. The app shows symptom and check steps for each entry. Several throttle valve codes at once often point to power supply, connector or ground. So first check battery and connections before you replace the throttle valve.
Note on numbering: the codes come from the control units' diagnostic database, as the diagnostic tool reads them. Forums and manuals partly circulate different assignments, especially for older models and for codes shown on the display. When in doubt, the description in the app counts.
