Yamaha VXR and VXS Fault Codes: List and Meaning
VXR and VXS bring the 1.8-litre control unit with electronic throttle valve into a light hull. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC reads the messages and classifies them for you.
The most important codes
- 13 pulser coil, 15 engine temperature, 17 knock sensor, 19 battery voltage
- 23 intake air temperature, 24 camshaft, 29 intake pressure
- 47 slant switch, 55 steering sensor, 65 exhaust manifold water temperature
- 68 no-wake mode switch, 78 reverse switch
- 112 to 145 throttle valve drive, 124 to 128 TPS, 131 to 135 accelerator sensor
Good to know
For every active entry the app shows the symptom, for example “out of specification” or “irregular signal”, and the check steps. Several messages at once are often the result of a shared problem such as low battery voltage or a poor ground. Check that first before replacing individual parts.
Note on numbering: the codes come from the control units' diagnostic database, as the diagnostic tool reads them. Forums and manuals partly circulate different assignments, especially for older models and for codes shown on the display. When in doubt, the description in the app counts.
