Yamaha VXR and VXS: Check Reverse and No-Wake Switch
Reverse or no-wake mode no longer respond as usual? Both depend on switches whose state the control unit knows constantly. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC makes it visible for you.
What you check
- Code 78: reverse switch with an irregular signal
- Code 68: no-wake mode switch with an irregular signal
- Switch status in the live data when operating it
- Connector and wire for moisture and corrosion
Switch or connection
If the value in the app changes cleanly with each press, the switch works and the problem lies more in the mechanical reverse gate or in the connection. If the value stays put or flickers, the switch is the better candidate. The test saves you the trip to the workshop for a question you clear up in two minutes at the jetty.
