Buying a Used Yamaha VXR and VXS: Was It a Rental?

Used VXR and VXS often come from rental and club use. You cannot see the usage profile, but M-JET DIAGNOSTIC shows it through the distribution of operating hours.

What you read out

  • Total hours and hours per RPM range
  • Fault memory for messages on temperature and throttle valve
  • Model, serial number and part number of the control unit
  • Live data at idle

Recognizing the usage profile

Rental craft run a lot in the mid range and often with cold starts. Privately ridden sport models more often show hours in the upper RPM range. Neither is bad in itself, but it explains the condition of pump, bearings and electrics. Compare the result with the impression of the craft, with the display hour meter and with the documents. If they differ strongly, ask.
