The 600 ACE is the smaller four-stroke in the Ski-Doo and Lynx lineup, and you find it in the Tundra, Skandic, Renegade, Grand Touring, Expedition and several Lynx models. If you are searching for Ski-Doo 600 ACE tuning, chances are you ride a work or touring sled and mainly want one thing: an engine that responds more willingly, without needing a laptop or a dealer appointment. That is exactly how the M-JET Flasher for Ski-Doo and Lynx works: you flash the ECU through the diagnostic port and control everything from an app. Below are all covered models and years with the 600 ACE and the ECU unlock rules.
What a 600 ACE tune does
The software tune changes the calibration in the engine control unit. You get more power, sharper throttle response and a livelier feel. Depending on the model, Stage 1 to 4 are available.
We deliberately do not quote numbers for horsepower gains or top speed. How noticeable the difference is depends on the model, the stage and your setup. What is certain: the tune stays controlled and reversible, and you can go back to the stock software anytime.
How the ECU flash works with the app
- Plug the flasher into the diagnostic port.
- Open the app on your iPhone or Android phone and connect.
- Pick a stage offered for your model.
- Flash.
- Unplug the flasher and ride.
Going back to stock works the same way. On models that require it, a one-time ECU unlock comes before the first flash.
Ski-Doo models with the 600 ACE
These Ski-Doo models and years are covered for tuning with the 600 ACE. Some models appear twice in the table because the generations differ on the unlock.
| Model | Model years with 600 ACE | ECU unlock required |
|---|---|---|
| Ski-Doo MXZ | 2017-2018 | no |
| Ski-Doo Renegade | 2017-2020 | no |
| Ski-Doo Renegade | 2021-2026 | yes |
| Ski-Doo Grand Touring | 2017-2020 | no |
| Ski-Doo Grand Touring | 2021-2026 | yes |
| Ski-Doo Expedition | 2017-2020 | no |
| Ski-Doo Expedition | 2021-2026 | yes |
| Ski-Doo Skandic | 2017-2023 | no |
| Ski-Doo Skandic | 2024-2026 | yes |
| Ski-Doo Tundra | 2017-2025 | no |
| Ski-Doo Tundra | 2026 | yes |
The Ski-Doo Tundra from 2017 to 2025 is the easy case: it runs the 600 ACE every year and needs no unlock. Only the 2026 Tundra requires it. On the MXZ, the 600 ACE is listed for 2017 and 2018, also without unlock.
Lynx models with the 600 ACE
The 600 ACE is common on Lynx sleds too. Covered are:
| Model | Model years with 600 ACE | ECU unlock required |
|---|---|---|
| Lynx Xtrim | 2018-2021 | no |
| Lynx Yeti | 2018-2020 | no |
| Lynx 49 Ranger | 2018-2022 | no |
| Lynx 49 Ranger | 2023-2026 | yes |
| Lynx 59 Ranger | 2021-2024 | no |
| Lynx 59 Ranger | 2025-2026 | yes |
| Lynx Adventure | 2018-2019, 2021-2022 | no |
| Lynx Adventure | 2023-2026 | yes |
| Lynx Xterrain | 2026 | yes |
Two things to watch: on the older Lynx Adventure generation, model year 2020 is not listed, so the covered years are 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022. On the Lynx Xterrain, the 600 ACE is only listed for 2026, with unlock. We do not list the Lynx 69 Ranger, Commander or Brutal with the 600 ACE.
ECU unlock on the 600 ACE
On newer generations, the ECU needs a one-time unlock. For the 600 ACE, our model list says:
- Ski-Doo Renegade, Grand Touring and Expedition: 2017 to 2020 without unlock, 2021 to 2026 with unlock.
- Ski-Doo Skandic: 2017 to 2023 without unlock, 2024 to 2026 with unlock.
- Ski-Doo Tundra: 2017 to 2025 without unlock, 2026 with unlock.
- Ski-Doo MXZ, Lynx Xtrim and Lynx Yeti: no unlock.
- Lynx 49 Ranger and Adventure: older generation without unlock, 2023 to 2026 with unlock.
- Lynx 59 Ranger: 2021 to 2024 without unlock, 2025 to 2026 with unlock.
- Lynx Xterrain: 2026 with unlock.
The configurator shows the unlock options as soon as you select your model. The full overview is in our post on the Ski-Doo and Lynx ECU unlock.
The 600 ACE is not the 600R E-TEC
Ski-Doo has more than one engine with 600 in the name, so to be clear: the M-JET Flasher supports four-stroke engines only, meaning the 600 ACE, 900 ACE, 900 ACE Turbo and 900 ACE Turbo R, plus the 1200 4-TEC on certain older models. The 600R E-TEC is a two-stroke and is not supported, and neither is the 850 E-TEC. Check your sled's paperwork to confirm which engine you actually have before you order.
Many models, such as the Renegade, Grand Touring, Expedition, Skandic or Lynx 49 Ranger, also come with the 900 ACE. What applies there is covered in our post on Ski-Doo 900 ACE tuning.
Lite or Pro, and more than one sled
The Lite version of the flasher is for software tuning only. The Pro version adds diagnostics, live data and codings. If there is a second sled next to the Tundra in your garage, you do not need a second dongle: you add more vehicles with additional licenses. All model pages are linked from the Ski-Doo and Lynx tuning model overview.
Frequently asked questions
Does my Ski-Doo Tundra need an ECU unlock?
Not on the 2017 to 2025 Tundra. Only the 2026 Tundra needs the one-time unlock, and the configurator shows the options for it.
Is the 600R E-TEC supported too?
No. The 600R E-TEC is a two-stroke. Only the four-stroke engines like the 600 ACE are covered.
Can I go back to stock after the tune?
Yes, anytime. Plug in the flasher and load the stock software again through the app.
How much does a 600 ACE tune add?
We do not quote fixed numbers. You get more power, sharper throttle response and a livelier feel, and how noticeable that is depends on the model and the stage.
