Yamaha 1.9-Litre FX, GP and VX (from 2024) Fault Codes: List

The control unit of the new 1.9-litre generation knows around 50 messages and is one of the largest in the range. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC reads them and explains them.

The most important codes

  • 13 pulser coil, 15 engine temperature, 17 knock sensor, 19 battery voltage
  • 23 intake air temperature, 24 camshaft, 29 intake pressure, 63 intake system
  • 41 thermo sensor, 47 slant switch, 51 throttle lever closed-position switch, 55 steering sensor
  • 65 exhaust manifold water temperature, 68 cruise/no-wake switch
  • 150 to 154 RPS, 157 to 164 SCU
  • 112 to 145 throttle valve drive, 124 to 128 TPS, 131 to 135 APS

New compared with earlier generations

Compared with the 1.8-litre models, a thermo sensor entry (code 41) appears. Otherwise structure and numbers stay familiar.

Note on numbering: the codes come from the control units' diagnostic database, as the diagnostic tool reads them. Forums and manuals partly circulate different assignments, especially for older models and for codes shown on the display. When in doubt, the description in the app counts.
