Yamaha 1.9 Litre: Classify the Thermo Sensor Message (Code 41)
The 1.9-litre models have an additional thermo sensor entry in the fault memory. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC helps you classify it.
How to proceed
- Look at code 41 in the fault memory: active or stored?
- Compare the thermo sensor value and engine temperature (15)
- Watch exhaust manifold water temperature (65) over time
- Check connector and wire to the sensor
Plausible or not?
If the thermo sensor value fits the other temperatures, the message is probably a sporadic contact fault. If it deviates strongly or jumps, the sensor or its wire is the better candidate. Reading and recording gives you the arguments for it.
