Yamaha FX1100: No-Wake Mode and Steering Switch Report Faults
No-wake mode no longer responds as usual, or the control unit reports a steering switch. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC shows you live whether the switches on the handlebar change cleanly when pressed.
What you see in the app
- Code 104: no-wake switch with an irregular signal
- Code 85: steering switch with an irregular signal
- Switch status in the live data when operating it
- Battery voltage as a basic requirement
Contact before component
Handlebar switches are exposed to water and salt. So first check connectors and wires for moisture and corrosion. If the value in the app changes cleanly with every press, the switch is fine and the cause lies more in the connection. If the value sticks or flickers, the switch itself is the better candidate.
