Yamaha GP1300R Diagnostics (2003–2008)

The GP1300R is regarded as a classic of the series. Even though it dates from 2003 to 2008, you can read and check its control unit with M-JET DIAGNOSTIC.

What is in the GP1300R control unit

• Three-cylinder: three ignition coils, three injectors, fuel pump
• YPVS and stepper motor to activate
• Fault codes for, among others, stepper motor, exhaust manifold temperature, pulser coil and slant switch
• Live data for engine, intake and battery

Old classic, new possibilities

On a vehicle from 2003 to 2008, contacts, battery and sensors are often the weak spots. The component test for the stepper motor helps you classify an unsteady idle. With the YPVS test you check whether the adjustment works. After interventions you can clear the fault memory and use a test ride to check that everything stays quiet.
