Yamaha WaveRunner Slant Switch Fault

The slant detection switch shuts the engine off if the craft capsizes. If it has a fault, the engine can stop unexpectedly or will not start. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC shows you the switch status live and any entry in the fault memory.

Take the safety component seriously

The switch protects the engine from water damage after capsizing, so it is among the parts you do not bypass. First check connector and wire, then the installation: the switch must sit in its intended position, otherwise it reports a tilt that is not there. If it does not respond in the live data or responds permanently, replace it with a matching spare part. After a capsize, treat the craft according to the manual before you start.
