Yamaha TR-1 Engine Diagnostics (3 Cylinder, 1049 cc)
The TR-1 is Yamaha's 1.05-litre three-cylinder and sits in VX, EX, JetBlaster and SuperJet. M-JET DIAGNOSTIC recognizes all of these vehicles and shows you the functions that match the engine.
The diagnostic points on the TR-1
- Three ignition coils and three injectors for individual testing
- Electronic throttle valve with two position signals
- Sensors for intake air, intake pressure, engine and exhaust manifold water temperature
- Around 35 to almost 50 fault codes depending on model year
One engine, many craft
Because the TR-1 is fitted in several series, the diagnostic functions work similarly. What differs is the equipment: an EX has fewer switches and sensors than a VX Cruiser. The app knows these differences and hides functions that are not present. With a rough run you test the three ignition coils and three injectors individually and see whether one cylinder falls out of line.
