Yamaha VX 1100 Diagnostics (2005–2014)

The VX 1100 with the 1.1-litre MR-1 engine is still ridden on many lakes and coasts. Its control units are covered by M-JET DIAGNOSTIC, from the VX Sport through the VX Deluxe to the VX Cruiser of model years 2005 to 2014.

What the diagnostics give you on the VX 1100

• Four-cylinder: four ignition coils and four injectors for individual testing
• Electronic throttle valve (ETV) and accelerator position sensor (APS)
• Fault codes for temperature, pressure, camshaft and position sensors
• Live data, fuel pump test and service reset

Older craft, more targeted checks

On vehicles of this age, connectors, ground points and sensors are more often the cause than the control unit itself. Fault memory and live data let you sort this out quickly. Pay particular attention to battery voltage, moisture at connectors and the sensors in the intake area. How many functions are available exactly is shown by the app after model recognition.
